At 18 years of age Jalil Peraza has has made a name for himself. Graduating from high school at the age of 16, taking time off instead of taking the scholarships to quite a few colleges. He then landed an internship with Kanye West. It does not stop there, Jalil soon after that released his first line of t-shirts, “Timeless Appeal” which the focus of the line was to include pieces form the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. Jalil then took the “Timeless” from “Timeless Appeal” and Started Fresh with “Appeal”. With a mixture of comfort and style, the Appeal pocket tees have been killing the game. I own several pocket tees and always get stopped complimented on the shirts. Mr. Peraza is someone to lookout for. His hustle honestly inspires us here at The Urban Renaissance. TUR: Could you first start off by telling us your name age and little about yourself?

TUR: Lets talk a little about your brand “APPEAL.”  where did you come up with the name and what is the concept for APPEAL?
JP: The name Appeal, Came about through wanting a simplistic catchy name, for a brand that would be appeasing to my audience , thus APPEAL. Was born
TUR: What are your long term goals for APPEAL? Long term goals?
JP: Long term goals for Appeal, consist of diversifying our product line, enlarging our fanbase, merging into other markets, and work towards tier one corporate status.
TUR: Besides APPEAL, are there any business ventures that you are are working on. If so, what are they?  
 JP:Aside from Appeal, I am a college student working toward a juris doctorate degree in ( LAW) And a Masters in International business
TUR: Does APPEAL address a viable market?  
 JP: Appeal does operate in a viable/ lucrative market
 TUR: What separates Appeal from other brands?
 JP:Unique style, and edge separates Appeal, from may other brands, as well as an 18 year old teenager acting as the face of the brand adds flair, giving Appeal Emporium’s demographic something in which to relate.
 TUR: You are Rosewoods youngest member. For those who do not know, can you tell the story of how you got the internship with Mr. West?
JP:The internship basically came through, knowing the right people and being in the right place at the proper time.
TUR: How would you describe your style of dress?
 JP: My style of dress would be easily described as ME. I just wear things that I like and find comfortable . I go for a more simplistic type of style.
TUR: Recently a few friends started making videos to a few tracks from the ”Watch The Throne” album. How did it get started? are there anymore in the works?
 JP: The videos of WTT, songs was just a funny project we decided to put out to give people some thing to talk about. We have some more dope videos coming in the future, ( Not necessarily WTT tracks)
 TUR:  You and your group of friends are doing a lot of big things. How important do you think it is to surround yourself with ambitious people?
  JP: It is extremely vital to surround yourself with Ambitious people, “ The Grind is contagious,” & don’t forget “ Birds of a feather Flock together,” Keep good company as it can easily influence you!
  TUR: What motivates you to grind the way you do?
JP: Im motivated to grind by the thought of being able to make enough money, to retire my parents and grandparents as well as myself. I want to support my future children and grandchildren the way my parents were not able to. I Want to be able to pay for my kids education without them ever have to worry about student loans, pale grants etc. I also want to allocate enough funds to become a philanthropist, and give money to various non profit organizations. I Grind because I want to bring about some sort of beneficial Change on this earth, whether through design or philanthropy.
